Alfred Krueger

Alfred Krueger, 88, formerly of Goshen, died Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

He was born May 29, 1932 in Romania to Otto and Pauline (Bartz) Krueger.

On March 11, 1954 he married Suzanne Cottingham in Goshen.  She died September 31, 2020.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathy (Steven) Gingerich of Goshen and Lisa Winchester of Dowagiac, Michigan; three sons, David (Kay) Krueger, Douglas Krueger and Ronald Krueger, all of Goshen; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild and a sister, Linda (Alfons) Spiedel of Goshen.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Russell; son-in-law, Greg Winchester; two brothers, Erwin and Hugo and his step-mother, Eugenia Krueger.

A Goshen resident since 1952, Mr. Krueger worked for Burger Dairy for 44 years.  A friendly man, Alfred befriended all he came into contact with. He was also an accomplished self-taught harmonica player.

Private family services will be held.  Burial will be in Violett Cemetery.
