Alex C. Shively

Alex C. Shively, age 30, of Wakarusa, ascended to heaven at Goshen Hospital, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 11:34 a.m. due to Covid pneumonia.

He was born July 27, 1991, the third child of Steve and Deb (Eshelman) Shively.  Alex was diagnosed with Sotos Syndrome at five months of age and epilepsy at puberty.

Alex lived with an infectious love.  He enjoyed attending ADEC Day Services, Northwood Athletic events, 4-H, Special Olympics and Camp Millhouse where his friends called him “Funny Guy”.  He was quick witted, compassionate and kind to everyone.,

Alex is survived by his parents; two siblings, Sarah (Steve Seiler) and Brady (Katie Gall); grandmother, Joan Eshelman; nephews and nieces, Emeric, Josephine, Warren and Genevieve Seiler and Tucker David and Dexi Jo Shively.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David R. Eshelman.

A private family farewell will be held before cremation and a celebration of life planned at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Alex’s honor to ADEC Day Services and Camp Millhouse.
