Aldine G. Wyse, 98, of Goshen passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born February 20, 1925 in Wayland, Iowa to William and Katie (Graber) Eichelberger.
On August 11, 1946 she married Marlin S. Wyse in Wayland, Iowa. He died January 13, 2001.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie (Rich) Kauffman, White Pigeon of Michigan, Marla (Wilbur) Mast of Goshen and Lynette (Craig) Gingerich of Riverside, Iowa; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anita Swartzendruber of Wayland, Iowa.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, S. Scott Wyse, three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Wyse was a member of First Mennonite Church of Middlebury where she was a long-time Sunday school teacher. Aldine had many interests that kept her busy. She enjoyed quilting, playing games, listening to music, and watching her beloved Chicago Cubs.
Mrs. Wyse was a loving homemaker and worked as an elementary schoolteacher. After retirement she was an activities director for a nursing home and volunteered for Menn-Hof.
Local services will be Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S. Main St., Goshen with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 3 p.m. Her grandson, Mitch Mast will officiate.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 17, at 11 a.m. CST at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Wayland, Iowa. Visitation will follow at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, 1209 Franklin Ave, Wayland, Iowa from noon until 2 p.m. CST.
