Albin J. Koronkiewicz, 78, of Goshen, died early Wednesday morning, January 12, 2011 at Courtyard Healthcare, after an extended illness. He was born September 29, 1932 in Chester, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Stella (Drozdowski) Koronkiewicz. He married Georgette Corriveau on April 16, 1955 in Manchester, New Hampshire. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Darlene (Ralph) Roellig of Woodbine, Georgia; two sons, Dr. David (Sheila) Koronkiewicz of Goshen and Daniel J. Koronkiewicz of Elkhart; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred (Mary) Korenkiewicz of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Koronkiewicz. Mr. Koronkiewicz served with the US Air Force from April 3, 1951 to December 30, 1954. He was a member of the Goshen American Legion, Post #30 and the Goshen VFW, Post #985. He had worked at Scott Paper Company in Chester, Pennsylvania, for 39 years. Following cremation at Yoder-Culp Crematory, private family services will be held at a later date with burial in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be directed to Goshen VFW Post #985, 1201 W.
