Alberta May Price

Alberta May Price, 79, of Goshen died early Tuesday morning, August 17, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital after a one week illness. She was born in Goshen on May 4, 1931, to the late Delbert and Maggie (LaMunyon) Oswald.  She married John W. Price on July 2, 1949, in Goshen.  He survives. Also surviving are children, Judy (Ernie) Davis, Johnny (Stacey) Price, Wayne (Betty) Price,  and  Terry (Paula) Price, all of Goshen, Rebecca (Keith) Wixson, Jo Anna (Richard Mullins) Price, and Tim (Lawanna) Price, all of Elkhart and Jim (Cheryl) Price, Adairsville, Georgia; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and siblings, George, Delbert Jr., James and Daniel Oswald. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Price; a brother, Paul Oswald and infant sister, Barbara June Oswald. A member of United Church of God, Goshen, Mrs. Price crocheted afghans, doilies , dresses for Barbie dolls and hats for Ribbons of Hope cancer patients.  She adored her family and friends, and most of all her Lord. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 19, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10:00 a.m., Friday, funeral service will be conducted with pastor Shawn Cortelyou, United Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to United Church of God.
