Albert R. Shetler

Albert R. Shetler, 73, of Rising Fawn, Georgia, died unexpectedly early Saturday morning, November 4, 2006 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.   He was born June 14, 1933, in Kalona, Iowa, to Jessie Ray and Anna (Hershberger) Shetler.  He married Sonja E. “Penny” Blevins on October 26, 1963, in Goshen.  She survives.   A retired truck driver and a member of the Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Mr. Shetler is survived by his wife; a son, Gregory Shetler of Rising Fawn, Georgia; four brothers, Paul Shetler of Greenwood, Delaware, Phillip (Janet) Shetler of Irwin, Ohio, and Harley (Emma) Shetler and Dennis (Katie Ann) Shetler, both of Kalona, Iowa; and five sisters, Lena (Vernon) Miller and Alta Yutzy, both of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Mary Jane (Edwin) Miller, Clara Shetler and Ruth Ann Shetler, all of Kalona, Iowa.   He was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Leann Shetler and two brothers, John and Ellis Dale Shetler.   Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 10, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   A 10:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Arnold Shetler of Plain City, Ohio will officiate.   Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
