Albert D. Jones

Albert D. Jones, 95 of Goshen, died Thursday morning, February 14, 2013 at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born Oct. 23, 1917 in LaGrange County to David E. and Mary (Miller) Jones. He married Christena Elizabeth Kohli Feb. 9, 1947 at Salem Mennonite Church in New Paris. He is survived by a sister, Esther Horst, of Gulfport, Miss., and a brother, Levi D. Jones, of Shipshewana. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, six brothers, and five sisters. Albert was a local farmer and bus driver. He served in Civilian Public Service during WWII. He was employed by Holiday Rambler, Smoker Craft, Foxes Bicycle Shop, Nappanee, and Hess Garage in Foraker. Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service, all at Mt. Joy Mennonite Church. Rev. Ben Shirk will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee. Memorial contributions may be made to World Missionary Press.
