Agnes Wenger, 89, of Perry, Georgia, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at her daughter’s home. She had been ill the past six months. She was born in Goshen on November 14, 1921, to the late Harvey J. and Pearl (Miller) Stutzman. She married Lawrence R. Wenger on July 8, 1949, in Goshen. He died July 10, 2001. Surviving are three daughters, Marilyn (Mark) Watson of Goshen, Linda (Johnny) Yoder of Montezuma, Georgia, and Judy Wenger of Perry, Georgia; a son, Stanley Wenger of Albany, Georgia; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Esther Grover and Doris Stutzman, both of Goshen. She was preceded in death by a foster-son, Joe Foster, a grandson, Jesse Wayne Yoder; three sisters, Velma Delagrange, Mildred Eichelberger, and Lula Stutzman; and a brother, Clem Stutzman. A graduate of Millersburg High School, Mrs. Wenger was a member of Waterford Mennonite Church and worked as a bookkeeper at Hodgson Ace Hardware. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 4, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2011, funeral service at Waterford Mennonite Church. Pastors Tina Schlabach and Marvin Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Waterford Mennonite Church.
