Adele Marie Wollman, of Goshen, passed away, Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Avalon Village, Ligonier at the age of 94.
She was born January 31, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank M. Jr. and Cornelia (Stanley) McKey.
On June 17, 1950 she married Wilfred O. Wollman in Chicago, Illinois. He died October 21, 2008.
Adele was a beloved mother of five, wife of 58 years to the late Will Wollman, and the oldest sister of three redheads. She lived and raised her family most of her life in the town of Milford.
She is survived by five children, Dale (Don) Losee, Milford, Rev. Michael (Cindy) Wollman, Abingdon, Maryland, David (Shelley) Wollman, Dallas, Texas, Rev. Andrew (Karen) Wollman, Goshen and Thomas Wollman, Warsaw; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Gene Poole, Chicago, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Alvarez and Gay Poole.
She had a deep love for life and embraced every adventure that came her way. Adele had a passion for sailing and horses. Her Christian faith was the cornerstone that shaped her life, especially in her final years. She worshipped at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Goshen, where her son Andrew serves as a pastor.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading, volunteering at the library, participating in the Kiwanis Club, and golfing.
Adele will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 11 a.m. until the 12 p.m. memorial service at Prince of peace Lutheran Church, 18548 C.R. 18, Goshen, IN 46528.
A private burial has taken place at Benton Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
