William W. Sharp                                                                                        Flowers?

William W. Sharp, 81, of Goshen, died early Tuesday morning, November 8, 2005, at Elkhart General Hospital.  He had been in failing health since this past summer.

 

He was born December 3, 1923, in Point Isabel, Grant County, Indiana, to Ward B. Sharp and Nellie (Craig) Sharp.  On January 21, 1945, in Milford, he married Marion I. Leist.  She survives.

 

Mr. Sharp worked for Sollit Construction, South Bend for 39 years as a truck driver.  He retired from Bates and Rogers Construction in December 1984.

 

Mr. Sharp was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Goshen, and Teamsters Retirees’s Club #364.

 

He is survived by his wife, Marion, a daughter, Nancy (Larry) Gadson of Syracuse, a son, William R. Sharp of Goshen, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren, and a sister Madge Mathias of Larwill, Indiana.

 

Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 10, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

 

A 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2005, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Tim Terrell of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church will officiate.

 

A private burial will be held in Violett Cemetery.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
